It was a treat to visit the @nationalpoetrylibrary for the first time 🙌 An entire library of poetry! It was incredible and I could have stayed a lot longer than my kids’ patience allowed (and they were very patient 😊). Worth the trip! 📚
Walking over to Southbank. What a beautiful city.
Mom and I make time to make “together” every week- same day, same time. It’s always a highlight for both of us. Thanks @lynn_giunta for the inspiration!
My children teach me that even on the most miserable weather days, there are new things to discover. These two enjoyed breaking up the ice and watching it shatter on the frozen pond. Millie insisted on carrying a huge chunk back to the house where she wanted to see if anything was living in the frozen water. On the way home we spotted a bird we had never seen before (blue tit). We spent the afternoon observing various things under the microscope (no signs of life in the melted ice 😔).
It sounds overly dramatic, but I often ask my kids after they finish a book- “How has your life changed because you’ve read this book?”
We are in a season where our days and weeks are very full, so it’s fun (necessary?) to have easy projects like these that don’t take a lot of time or brain power. I spotted these “matching” neckties for 99p at the charity shop and gave them a new purpose 😊
